Built-in Customs Compliance

Visual Exporter is designed with several layers of export compliance checks.

Even though Visual Exporter simplifies the process, it does not compromise on export compliance.

Through an integrated and automated process for every party and location on a transaction, export compliance can be verified against a full range of national or international restricted, denied, and sanctioned party lists, and sanctioned and embargoed countries—with shipments associated with a positive match being put on regulatory hold.

Item data is validated based on the completeness and accuracy of information. Visual Exporter will put an intuitive green, yellow, or red box around HTS and Schedule B classification codes for simple export compliance determination in both the item file and at the time of shipment creation. Other product related attributes, including ECCN, USML/ITAR, Hazmat, and licensing contribute to the compliance check process at the time of export.

Specific to AES/EEI filing, commodities require certain units of measure based on the classification code. Visual Exporter will pre-validate this, as well other AES requirements, prior to submitting. Other flagged compliance checks will cause the AES submission button in Visual Exporter to be grayed out on your screen to prevent accidental transmission to Customs.

Documents are watermarked “ON REGULATORY HOLD” when a screening match, country alert, HTS, classification, or any other compliance or regulatory issue occurs. Visual Exporter will help ensure you avoid accidental release and deployment of non-compliant shipment transactions.

With Visual Exporter automatically flagging a variety of these potential compliance issues, those in charge of compliance will be provided timely alerts, providing a compliance work-queue and the ability to catch and address issues before the supply-chain is negatively impacted. See Manager Alerts, Work-Queue, and Activity Dashboard for more.
